If you look around, there are a few more concept mashup albums, but most are not worth your precious time. If are bored enough, check out Gratefully D.E.A.D.(biggie and grateful dead), Jaydiohead (Radiohead and Jay Z), Viva la Hova (Jay Z and Coldplay. I didn't even waste my time with this shit. Just move on.), Beatallica(beatles and metallica mashup cover band) , The Slack Album (Pavement's Slanted & Enchanted x Jay Z) and of course, The Biggie Hendrix Experience (biggie and hendrix. duh.) I'm sure there are more out there but that is pretty much all i've heard about for full mashup concept albums.

-This cover of black betty by Nick Cave as featured in the intro of "Baker Has a Deathwish" is ON my list of most awesome song covers of all time.

What's truly remarkable about this piece, is the manner in which the sharp percussive clanks, grinds and smacks of the skating and assorted other backround ambiance and voices in the video intermingle so seamlessly with the song, elevating the whole to a level far greater then the sum of its parts. This metaphorical yin and yang, combined with the rapid fire visual assault of incongruous and nonlinear imagery creates an unexpected and brilliant audiovisual synergy. From chaos, comes a strange cohesiveness. A masterful juxtuposition of seemingly unrelated music and imagery if ever there was one. The savage grunting and howling in conjunction with the strange ritualistic and violent outbursts of movement and self expression on behalf of the baker clan, paired with the tribal drumming and chanting of the song conjures thoughts of pre hominid man, performing crazed primitive dances and thrashing around wildly in attempts to earn the favor of savage and brutal ancient gods.

-Somebody needs to put this bear ON a skateboard.

Frozen Sharks. They were literally smuggling over a TON of Mexico's finest inside FROZEN SHARKS. When I was a wee lad I would perform various cryogenics experiments, using slugs, various insects, worms, and whatever else was readily accessible in or around my backyard and would fit into the freezer. The only thing that ever really survived were the wasps, and I eventually figured out through trial and error that after about 15-20 mins in the freezer, I would end up with a formerly savage and ferocious yellow jacket at my complete and total mercy for approximately 5 minutes, after which it would groggily begin twitching and then take flight and try to stab me in the eye. Turns out wasps do not give a good god damn about science.I had an unlimited supply of subjects, as our back porch had a severe infestation. My experimentations included occasionally tying floss around the abdomens and holding the string as they slowly awoke to realize that they had become my little captives. Holding a piece of floss tied around an angry P.O.W. wasp set on kill with nothing to lose is a great way to spend an evening. I taught myself how to remove the stingers and incapacitate the jaw while the wasps were still unconscious, the final product being an adorable harmless, domesticated pet wasp. Turns out they make great pets and are excellent for traumatizing my brother. The relevance of all this to Encyclopedia Jones and the Case of the Mexican Frozen Shark Smugglers, is this hypothetical scenario. Say, these sharks had not been previously killed, and were instead sedated and hastily stuffed to the gills with excessive amounts of high grade narcotics and then flash frozen and loaded on the ship. Say the refrigeration unit failed, during a storm, or because of faulty wiring or whatever else. The Sharks start to thaw. They groggily awake and start flopping about a bit. Then, they realize that they have been packed with more cocaine then five peak era Motley Crue's combined. Fuck snakes on a plane, this is STRUNG THE FUCK OUT MEXICAN SHARKS ON A BOAT.

How to party:

Or, you could do the trusty "Mcdonald's Cup Method." Now the way this works is as follows.

Step 1. Get a large McDonald cup, a lid, and a straw.
Step 2. Insert and open canned beverage of choice
Step 3. Apply Lid and insert straw through both lid, and mouth of can. Suddenly, you are just drinking a soda. When beverage is empty, remove can and reinsert freshie can, lid and straw. Swap that clip son.

So a few days ago, I decided to watch one of the greatest pieces of visual art ever put to vhs for the 90325th time. The film I am referring to, of course is as follows-

Now I was watching this and had my first of two revelations. The Red Sweatpants Avenger who taps in about halfway through to lay the smack down on the chair looked vaguely familiar, and I realized he looked a heck of a lot like OG skateboard legend Mark Gonzales. I checked the credits and it turns out it is. Then my second revelation came. I noticed that the gay black midget in the background was wearing a shirt with an Israeli flag. Identical to the shirt that Gonzales wore for about 5 seconds in his part in video days. I don't give a fuck who you are or where you come from, you need this video part in your life right now. Watch it. Easily one of the top 5 best video parts of all time. In one of the top 5 videos of all time. This is the cream of the crop ladies and gentleman. Timeless.
